One tape for every joint – the greenteQ OMNIA BG 1 multifunctional tape

Available in two sizes, the new greenteQ OMNIA BG 1 joint insulating tape covers all standard joint dimensions from 4 mm to 60 mm. It protects against driving rain, is moisture-proof, airtight and heat- and noise-insulating and can be used in all standard structural connection joints, whether fully exposed to the elements or completely concealed. This gives fitters and tradespeople the perfect solution even when faced with huge differences in the joints, ensuring that they always have the right tape to hand wherever they are.

The new greenteQ tape OMNIA BG 1 makes resource scheduling, installation and warehousing easier for all processors: where once you needed three tapes, now just one is sufficient – for nearly all joint sizes. Thanks to its impressive expanding capability, it reliably compensates for uneven joint runs and component movements. The intelligent size chart means that the greenteQ tape OMNIA BG 1 can be used in joints of 4–20 mm or 15–40 mm when exposed to the elements, under BG1 requirements. For concealed installation and BG2 requirements, the tape can be used in joints of 4–25 mm or 15–45 mm. If only thermal insulation is required, the tape can be used in joints of 4–30 mm or 15–60 mm. Coming in two sizes, this tape ensures that fitters and tradespeople will have no problems whatsoever carrying out their installation work on the building site even when faced with very different joint sizes.

Three in one – more airtight on the inside than on the outside

The greenteQ tape OMNIA BG 1 also combines the functions of all three sealing layers in a single tape according to the principle of “more airtight on the inside than on the outside”: it reliably protects against driving rain up to 1.050 Pa, provides thermal and noise insulation up to 64 dB and is airtight and moisture-proof on the inside. With the greenteQ OMNIA tape, we have launched on the market a pioneering joint sealing tape that, thanks to its excellent properties, does more than fulfil the requirements of the new EnEV ordinance and the MO-01 guideline. It also effectively addresses the challenges associated with energy-saving design,” says Florian Dettinger, VBH product manager for construction chemicals and fixing systems. In just one step, the tape can be adhered to the window frame and then butt-jointed at the corners – and that’s it! This product reduces the amount of time required to install windows by around a quarter compared with the conventional process.

10-year functional warranty

The new greenteQ tape OMNIA BG 1 is UV- and moisture-resistant, ensures permanent drying of the joint in accordance with the requirements of ift Rosenheim and comes with a 10-year functional warranty. Innovative resealable packaging reliably prevents unwanted expansion. In addition, the rolls are individually shrink-wrapped to protect against dirt and dust and to prevent them from getting stuck to each other.
